For this weekend's top 10 list, I want to go over my favorite songs from the amazing genres of indie-pop/indie-electric. The genres take the catchiness of its mainstream counterpart and combine it with the amazing sounds of a guitar band and/or electric sounds. Some of my favorite bands in these styles include Pheonix, Two Door Cinema Club, Saint Motel, and Miami Horror. The reason I enjoy these two similar genres so much is because of how upbeat and joyful they are. When I listen to my indie playlist, it never fails to make me happy and sing along. So with all that out of the way, let me list my 10 favorite songs (In no particular order):
1. Violet - Bad Suns

Violet has such a catchy melody and is just so upbeat. It is always on new playlists I make.
2. We Are the People - Empire of the Sun

Empire of the Sun has a very distinct vocal sound that I just love. That is showcased in this song!
3. Suicide Saturday - Hippo Campus

Suicide Saturday is a chill song that is fun to listen to in car rides! It helps that it is pretty easy to sing along to as well.
4. Undercover Martyn - Two Door Cinema Club

Undercover Martyn is one of my favorite songs to sing along with. The drums in this songs are just so addicting!
5. Out Of My League - Fitz and The Tantrums

Out Of My League is another catchy song that I can't help but sing along with. Plus the art for the album it is one is one of my all-time favorites. It has actually made an appearance in a previous post of mine!
Stay tuned for tomorrow when I'll finish up this list!
